Medvedeva withdrew from the second stage of the Russian Cup

Two-time world figure skating champion Evgenia Medvedeva withdrew from the second stage of the Russian Cup in Moscow.

"Medvedeva will not perform at the Russian Figure Skating Cup, the athlete is undergoing examination due to an aggravated old back injury," the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKR) reported.

Medvedeva also missed the first stage of the Russian Cup in Syzran due to back problems.

The Russian Cup stage in Moscow will take place from 10 to 13 October.
