For the first time since 2015, Nadal reached the semifinals of the final and will play with Medvedev
The second racket of the world Rafael Nadal at the final ATP tournament beat last year's champion Stefanos Tsitsipas (6: 4, 4: 6, 6: 2) and reached the semifinals.
The Spaniard this year plays for the 10th time in the final and the sixth time out of the group. The last time he did it was in 2015.
Now Nadal will play with Daniil Medvedev. In head-to-head matches, the 20-time Grand Slam champion leads 3-0. Last year he faced Medvedev in the group stage and bounced back from matchball and 1-5 in the third set.
The match will take place on Saturday.
