Russian figure skating coach Alexander Zhulin apologized to judge Olga Zhakova, whom he accused of selling her voice at the 1994 Olympics in Lillehammer.
Today in an interview with Vasily Konov Zhulin statedthat she knows how much Zhakova was paid to bring Oksana Grischuk and Evgeny Platov to first place in ice dancing at the 1994 Games. Zhulin and Maya Usova then became the second.
“I would like to apologize to Olga Zhakova, to whom I made incorrect offensive statements about the circumstances of refereeing at the Olympic Games in Lillehammer.
