The International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and the Olympic organizing committee have presented the first version of the rules of conduct for the Tokyo Games.

Athletes at the Games will have to use a mobile application with which they will send reports on their health status. This information will be shared with local health authorities.

In the Olympic Village, athletes will have to avoid physical contact with others as much as possible, and also maintain a distance of two meters.

Athletes will not be allowed to attend the competition as spectators.

Athletes will be required to submit a negative COVID-19 test two weeks prior to traveling to Tokyo.

The Olympics have been pushed back from 2020 to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The games are scheduled to run from July 23rd to August 8th.
